I agree with that sentiment as long as the founders spend the time and effort to think through some of the hard questions. Unfortunately, as I’ve pointed out elsewhere (https://benbob.medium.com/details-matter-c635b2186778), I find they often use PowerPoint and avoid answering those hard questions or convince themselves that “magic happens” at step seven and all will be well.

I guess the flip side of the question you asked would be: “How many train wrecks would have been avoided if the founders had spent the time to consider the hard questions?” Sadly, the number is much higher than the number of great startups that have resulted from the leap into the unknown.
